Ilan Rabchinskey

Lives and works in Mexico City.
Through light, color, and form, Ilán Rabchinskey's recent work explores perception, chance, the dynamics between objects and images, and the interaction between figuration and abstraction.
Her most recent solo exhibition is All Is Permanent Until It FadesCurated by Tania Ragasol at Patricia Conde Gallery, 2025. Ilán has received several awards, including the Audience Award at the 19th Photography Biennial of the Centro de la Imagen in 2021, and a nomination for the 2024 Leica Oskar Barnack Award. Rabchinskey's work is held in the Museum of Modern Art of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and the Casa Wabi Collection Foundation, among others.
He has been invited to artist residencies such as Casa Nano Japan, ONOMA AiR Finland, and Casa Wabi Mexico. Rabchinskey has published the books Willing Matter (self-published, 2025, Mexico), Foundation Stone (Muga, 2019, Spain), The Terrestrial Environment (Arts of Mexico, 2016, Mexico), Earth Whirlpool (Acapulco Editions, 2014, Mexico) and Yo'tan K'op (Trilce, 2009, Mexico).
In addition to his practice, Ilán has lectured at Centro University, the Superior School of Cinema, and the ADM Center. Since 2020, he has been a member of the National Foundation for the Arts (SNCA) in Mexico. His work is represented by Patricia Conde Gallery.
