Ilan Rabchinskey

Through light, color, and form, the recent work of Ilán Rabchinskey explores perception, chance, the dynamics between objects and images, and the interaction between figuration and abstraction.
His most recent solo exhibition is All Is Permanent Until It Fades, curated by Tania Ragasol at Patricia Conde Galería, 2025. Ilán has received various recognitions, such as the Audience Award at the Centro de la Imagen XIX Photography Biennial 2021, and a nomination for the Leica Oskar Barnack Award 2024. Rabchinskey's work is in the Museu de Arte Moderna in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and the Fundación Casa Wabi Collection, amongst others.
He has been invited to artist residencies such as Casa Nano Japan, ONOMA AiR Finland, and Casa Wabi Mexico. Rabchinskey has published the books Willing Matter (self-published, 2025, Mexico), Piedra Fundacional (Muga, 2019, Spain), El Medio Terrestre (Artes de México, 2016, Mexico), Remolino de Tierra (Ediciones Acapulco, 2014, Mexico), and Yo’tan K’op (Trilce, 2009, Mexico).
In addition to his practice, Ilán has lectured at Centro University, Escuela Superior de Cine, and Centro ADM. Since 2020, he is a member of Mexico’s SNCA National Endowment for the Arts.
