Beetles and Ladybugs | Huichol art - Marakame

The beetle inside Darwin's mouth protested, of course. Such was the fascination of a young Charles Darwin for beetles that, once in the field, in order to carry three different insects with him, he decided to hold two in his hands and one in his mouth. Things did not end well that day. But the interest in beetles had to do with explaining the diversity of life on this planet. Their crests can have bullpen dimensions, with multicolored bodies.
