Since 2017 we have been personally directing the process of Zapotec figures whose original name is “tonas” or “nahuales”.

This alebrije sculpture depicts two dogs fused together in a gesture of vitality and instinctive connection. Carved from copal wood and hand-painted with intricate Zapotec patterns, the piece balances animal strength with a refined symbolic aesthetic. The earthy, ochre, and metallic tones evoke the duality of energy and calm, body and spirit. Through this composition, the artist celebrates union as a creative and natural impulse, in a dialogue between the sacred and the earthly.
