Since 2017 we have been personally directing the process of Zapotec figures whose original name is “tonas” or “nahuales”.

This rattlesnake looks at us with a calm and direct expression. Wrapping around itself, it seems to focus on an idea that it is about to tell us, like a revelation emanating from wisdom and knowledge.

This Snake Alebrije is an artistic piece that combines the tradition of Mexican alebrijes with Zapotec symbolism. The alebrije is designed in an aggressive or defensive pose, as if it were ready to attack or defend itself.

The red colors of the alebrije create an intense and exciting visual effect, while the black symbols add depth and complexity. The fangs sticking out their tongues are a very interesting touch that gives them a menacing appearance. The blue stripe running along the alebrije's upper body is an interesting contrast to the red and black colors. It adds a touch of calm and balance to the snake's aggressive pose.

The gray rattlesnake tip on the snake's tail is a very special touch that gives it a more realistic and authentic look. It's as if the alebrije is alive and ready to move. Overall, this alebrije is an exciting and unique piece of art that combines Mexican tradition with Zapotec symbolism.
