This piece evokes the energy of contained fire, a combustion halted in the instant before dissolution. The veins of color and the depth of the Japanese lacquer reveal an internal movement reminiscent of the formation of matter in nature. On its surface, the golden and dark reflections create a sense of flow and transformation, as if the plate were slowly breathing. It is a work that invites us to look beyond the visible, toward the vital pulse that dwells in stillness.
