  • This work, “Self-portrait with inner rings I,” explores identity and introspection through an innovative use of pencil, papers, and mirror. The silhouette of a face emerges from layers of paper, evoking the growth rings of a tree, a metaphor for the passage of time and the accumulation of experiences. The mirror in the background adds an interactive dimension, allowing the viewer to reflect on the work and question their own identity. The duality between the detailed portrait and the abstraction of the rings reinforces the concept of personal evolution and memory.
