  • Celia Ivon Veloz Saenz is a renowned potter in Juan Mata Ortiz, Chih., for more than 20 years.
    Her pottery work together with her husband José Luis Pérez Ramírez has led them to win several national and international awards. In 2016 she won the Award for the best piece in the annual Mata Ortiz Ceramics competition. And in 2017 Celia obtained Second Place in the International Ceramics Competition: A Tile and Vessel in the city of Silver City, NM United States, competing against ceramists from Canada, the United States and Mexico.
    Furthermore, since 2012, Mrs. Celia Ivon Veloz Saenz has been an active member of the non-profit organization MATA ORTIZ GRUPO SIETE AC (MOG7 AC).
    Her career has led her to participate in several exhibitions in Mexico and the United States.
