  • Circle of Time I by Taro Tokuyama is a piece that represents the accumulation of time through the superposition of material layers. Its interrupted circular structure suggests the impermanence and fragility of the temporal flow, where fragments of past experiences remain in an incomplete cycle.

The work stands out for its layered texture and vibrant combination of colours, which reflect a process of accumulation and erosion. The arrangement within a glass frame enhances its contemplative character, inviting the viewer to reflect on time as an element in constant transformation.

This piece becomes a physical vestige of memory, capturing the interaction between the ephemeral and the permanent in a composition that transcends the merely visual, to become an object of introspection and connection with the changing nature of time.
