  • Time Disc I by Taro Tokuyama is a mixed media work that encapsulates time in a suspended object, where layers of color overlap creating a sense of accumulation and transformation. The central disk, with a vibrant red core surrounded by multi-colored rings, symbolizes the trail of lived moments, each leaving its mark on the flow of time.

The minimalist composition and contrast with the white background invite contemplation, highlighting the materiality of the object and its symbolic meaning. The framed structure acts as a visual capsule that preserves the ephemeral essence of time, turning the work into a tangible vestige of past experiences.

This piece is presented as a reflection on memory, permanence and the inevitability of change, offering the viewer a space for introspection and dialogue with time itself.
