The encounter of two cultures merge in with these pieces that combine the creativity from the hands of artists that come from different states of Mexico: Oaxaca and Jalisco.

Marakame innovates and integrates the skills of the Zapotec artists, merging the pieces achieved by them with the visual and manual dexterity of the Wixárika by gluing tiny beads one by one, from 20 thousand to more than 500 thousand (more than 60 thousand in this piece), for periods ranging from 15 to 300 days.

The figure of the Nahual is surprisingly detailed, with an animal head and tail, but with human hands, feet and face. The representation of this mythological being is an example of the cultural and artistic wealth of the Mexican indigenous peoples. The sculpture is adorned with beadwork details, a traditional Huichol technique that uses crystals to create geometric and floral figures. These details add a touch of spirituality and depth to the piece, making it even more special.

The use of copal as a material is also characteristic of Mexican indigenous culture, as it is considered a sacred material with healing properties. This sculpture is a perfect example of the cultural and artistic wealth of Mexico, and is a tribute to the indigenous peoples who have contributed to the creation of this rich and diverse art.
