    An ancient legend tells how an army of coral snakes defended the Huastec people from their conquerors, and then transformed into swallows and lived in a sacred basement. This pot presents us with the symbolic union of terrestrial and aerial beings, their importance for the cultures of our land and the defense of life.

  • Diego Valles is an Electromechanical Engineer from the Higher Technological Institute of Nuevo Casas Grandes, Chihuahua; and Engineer in Design, Advanced Manufacturing, Vibration Analysis and Mechanical Design from the University of Technology in Sydney, Australia. National Youth Award 2010, in the Art and Popular Expressions category. He has been recognized on numerous occasions in the Annual Ceramic Competition in Mata Ortiz and received numerous awards both in Mexico and the US. He is a founding member of the Mata Ortiz Grupo Siete AC organization and founder of the “Santa Rosa Casa del Barro” Cultural Center.
