A Memorandum of Understanding was signed by the Government of Mexico by which it was agreed to acquire greater commitments to protect the marine ecosystems in the Gulf of California. This effort is supported by both the Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation and the Carlos Slim Foundation, instances that will support the efforts of the Mexican Government to achieve the objectives of marine conservation described in the Memorandum.
We are happy to share that the more than 30 sculptures in Huichol Art Vaquitas marinas that we did with the Wixáritari artists from the Sierra Madre will be in good hands helping through art to raise awareness about our environment.
